The Elkhorn is built for hauling meat without a mess inside the pack. The main bag and pockets are the same as the Bullion Butte, but a shelf and detachable lid work together to compress your hunting success directly against the frame to make heavy loads easier to carry. Combined with buckles on the frame sides, this system allows the pack to be converted from normal mode to loaded-with-meat mode in under five minutes.
The detachable lid is the same size as on our other packs and includes the “back door” zipper for easy access whether the lid is open or closed, upright or lying down. It also includes a storm flap to keep rain and snow out of the main bag. Choose a lid to match the bag color, or choose orange to meet state requirements for hunter orange visibility and to more easily keep track of kids in the field.

The bag will extend 3”-4” below the bottom of an 18” frame and 1”-2” below the bottom of a 20” frame. However, bottom compression straps easily reduce extra volume if necessary.
Basic colors include Coyote Brown, Foliage Green, and Ranger Green. Multicam is additional $10. Contact us to see if we can help you with other colors.
